Falling In Love With South Iceland

South Iceland is home to magnificent waterfalls, geysir, lava, beautiful coastline and so much more. We set out on a 21 hour journey and didn’t arrive home until 4am, which included an evening hike up to Svartifoss.  Needless to say we were blown away by all the natural wonders we saw and completely fell in love with South Iceland.

Jökulsarlón – our furthest destination before heading back to Reykjavik

Svartifoss – we set out on our evening hike around 9pm. If only all summer days could be like this, never-ending and full of adventure.

  1. That’s a long day 🙂 I’ve been to most of the places, and they are all pretty nice 😉 Think you got some really nice pictures!

    • Haha! Thanks for stopping by! It’s called having a mental hubs with a lot of Red Bull and the white night on your side! That said, having been awake for more than 24 hrs and on the road for 21, we were absolutely knackered by the end. 🙂
