G’day, mate! How I wish that Australia wasn’t so far away… Our first destination on our honeymoon was Cairns and what a perfect way to start things off! We spent about a fortnight exploring Cairns and Sydney. Cairns was probably my favourite of the two but perhaps had we not stayed smack in the centre of Sydney we wouldn’t have felt so overwhelmed. That said, the food near the Harbour was just lovely and we would love to go back and see Ayers Rock, visit Western Australia, and see our mate Jarrod in his Outback habitat. Not to mention, I want to take my own wombat crossing photo:
- Australia is estimated to be 7,692,024 square kilometres and the sixth largest nation after Russia, Canada, China, the United States and Brazil. It has, however, a relatively small population.
- Australia is home to some of the world’s most deadliest (and cutest) animals.
- This large island nation has it all–high mountains, beautiful ocean reefs, lush rain forests, expansive deserts and long winding rivers.
